現地時間2016年10月4日、Googleは、スマートフォン向けVRヘッドセット「Daydream View」を発表しました。
ヘッドセットのフロントを開き、先行して発表されたスマートフォン「Google Pixel」などのAndroid端末を差し込んで使用します。コンテンツには、ハリーポッター「ファンタスティック・ビーストと魔法使いの旅」とコラボレーションしたものや、Huluやネットフリックス、もちろんGoogleストリートビューやYouTubeといったキラーコンテンツを取り揃えています。
価格は、同梱されるモーションコントローラ込みで79ドル。色は「Snow」「Slate」「Crimson」の3色。今年11月発売を予定しています。
